José Miguel Fagua Contreras
Professional in modern languages from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. He also holds an M.A. in Language Teaching from the same university.
He is a full-time teacher at Universidad Santo Tomás in Tunja. His participation in national and international conferences, lectures and seminars has increased his pedagogical skill as a teacher and as a human being. Dedicated and promising to satisfy educational needs and well-being of the students by using different activities and materials that engage and challenge the students intellectually. Moreover, he is a respectful and promoter of healthy relationships with all teaching and non-teaching staff members. Devoted to inculcate model behavior and good values in the students.

Leidy Girleza Cano García
She was an adjunct professor at Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. She holds a Bachelor’s in Foreign Languages and a Master’s in Language Teaching from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia in Tunja. She is currently working as a full-time professor at Universidad Santo Tomás. She belongs to the research group JOIE. Her research interests include language, culture, and technology.
Leny Dayana Rodriguez Duran
She holds a bachelor's degree in Modern Languages English and Spanish, and a Master's degree in Teaching Languages from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. She has 6 years of experience teaching English in different contexts. Currently, she is a full time English teacher at Universidad Santo Tomas - Tunja.
Jhon Jairo Ruiz Sanchez
Holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign Languages from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia and a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from University of Liverpool, UK. He has more than six years of experience teaching English to high school and university. Currently, he is a full time English teacher at Universidad Santo Tomas - Tunja.
Flor Angela Hurtado Torres
Flor Angela Hurtado holds a B.A in Modern Languages and a master's degree in Language Teaching from Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (Uptc). Currently, she is a full-time teacher at the Language Institute, Fray Bernardo de Lugo from Universidad Santo Tomás, Tunja. Angela is a peasants' daughter, whose research interests have been related to her roots and to social justice practices. She is part of the research group KIA (Knowledge in Action) at Uptc.
Laura Victoria Vega Higuera
Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages from UPTC and postgraduate studies in Human Rights Pedagogy. Holds a Master's degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language from Universidad Internacional de La Rioja in Spain. Eight years of experience in teaching EFL at university level and currently a full time English professor and co-creator of the Spanish course for foreigners at Santo Tomás University in Tunja.
Mairon Felipe Tobar Gómez
holds an M.A. in Languages Didactic from Universidad de La Salle, and a B.A. in English Language Teaching from Universidad de la Amazonia. He is currently a researcher and a full-time English language professor at Universidad Santo Tomás in Tunja. His research interests are Interculturality and contextualized materials in ELT. He is also part of the research group “TONGUE”.
Adriana Maritza Rivera Barreto
holds an MA in English Language Teaching Autonomous Learning Environments from Universidad de La Sabana and the ICELT – In-Service Certificate in English Language Teaching issued by the University of Cambridge. Besides, she holds a specialization in eLearning from Universidad Camilo José Cela. Currently, she is a full-time English teacher at Universidad Santo Tomás – Tunja.
Heidy Catalina Bautista Rodríguez
Holds Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages (Spanish-English) from the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, specialist in English language from the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana, Master in advanced studies in Spanish and Latin American literature from the Universidad Internacional de la Rioja, Unir. Holds a teaching experience of a decade and currently works as a full-time professor at Universidad Santo Tomás, Tunja.
